Physical Disabilities & Mobility Support at Home
Practical, respectful support that helps you live independently at home — on your terms, at your pace, and focused on what you can do, not what you cannot.
Living Independently with a Physical Disability
A physical disability or mobility limitation does not mean giving up the life you want. With the right support in place, most people with physical disabilities can live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own home — working, socialising, pursuing interests, and making their own choices every day.
At Kays 24-7 Care Services, we provide the practical, respectful support that bridges the gap between what you can manage independently and what you need a helping hand with. Our carers are not here to take over your life. They are here to support it — stepping in where needed and stepping back when they are not.
We work with people living with a wide range of physical conditions, from those who need occasional assistance a few times a week to those who require daily, comprehensive support with personal care, mobility, and household management. Whatever level of help you need, our approach is always the same: focused on your strengths, your goals, and your independence.

What Our Physical Disability & Mobility Support Includes
Every support plan is tailored to you. We combine whichever elements you need into a package that fits your life:
Personal Care
Support with washing, bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting — delivered with complete respect for your dignity, your preferences, and your established routines.
Mobility Assistance
Help with transfers between bed, wheelchair, and seating. Support with standing, walking, and using mobility aids safely. Our carers are trained in safe moving and handling techniques.
Household Management
Light housework, laundry, meal preparation, shopping, and keeping your home clean, comfortable, and safe. We work around your routine and your preferences.
Medication Support
Reminders and prompts to take medication at the correct times, and monitoring for any side effects or concerns to report to your healthcare team.
Accompaniment & Community Access
Going with you to appointments, social events, the shops, the gym, work, or anywhere you want to go. Our carers provide practical assistance and a confident, supportive presence by your side.
Equipment Assistance
Help with using hoists, standing frames, prosthetics, splints, pressure-relieving equipment, and other aids. We liaise with occupational therapists to ensure equipment is used correctly and effectively.
Health Monitoring & Coordination
Observing changes in your condition, liaising with GPs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and district nurses, and ensuring your care is coordinated across all professionals involved.
Night-Time Support
Overnight assistance for repositioning, toileting, or any support needed during the night — available as waking or sleeping night care depending on your requirements.
Conditions We Support
Our carers are experienced in supporting people living with a wide range of physical conditions, including:
This list is not exhaustive. If you are living with a physical disability or mobility condition not listed here, please get in touch. We are happy to discuss your specific needs. Call 077 6145 2735 or email info@kays-24-7careservices.co.uk.
Our Approach: Enabling, Not Doing
We believe the best support is the kind you barely notice — it is there when you need it and invisible when you do not.
Your Independence Comes First
We never do something for you that you can safely do for yourself. Our carers encourage, facilitate, and support your independence at every opportunity. If you can do it, we will back you — not replace you.
Your Choices, Your Control
You decide what support you receive, when you receive it, and how it is delivered. Your care plan is built around your schedule, your preferences, and your goals. You are in charge of your own life, and our job is to make that easier.
Consistency & Trust
We allocate a regular, small team of carers so you build genuine relationships with the people supporting you. Consistency matters, especially when intimate personal care and complex mobility support are involved. You deserve to feel comfortable and confident with your carer.
Working with Your Healthcare Team
Physical disability support works best when everyone is communicating. We coordinate closely with your existing clinical and therapy teams:
Physiotherapists
We follow prescribed exercise programmes and mobility plans, supporting you to complete your physiotherapy goals at home between professional sessions.
Occupational Therapists
We liaise with OTs regarding equipment, home adaptations, and daily living strategies, ensuring recommendations are implemented consistently in your daily routine.
GPs & Specialist Consultants
We report changes in your condition, attend appointments with you when needed, and ensure your care plan reflects any new clinical guidance.
Social Workers & Care Managers
We work with local authority professionals on care planning, reviews, and funding arrangements, providing regular updates and contributing to person-centred assessments.
